Silkworm Cocoons (Non-living)

Silkworm Cocoons are very interesting and versatile. The cocoons have been used for clothing for thousands of years and it all started with the Chinese empire.  Its actually a lot easier than you would think to unravel a cocoon, the entire silkworm cocoon is one continuous strand of silk! If you would like some more information on unraveling the silk cocoons I would recommend checking out this link! I have followed this guide before and it was very well made, this is a really cool project for kids to observe and do!
