Why Raise hornworms?
Hornworms are one of the best feeder insects on the market, let your reptiles know you care about their quality of food! Hornworms are enjoyed by many species of lizards, including bearded dragons, leopard geckos, chameleons, and many more! If you have a reptilian friend, research to see if they would enjoy hornworms!
Hornworm Egg Care:
All eggs we ship have been laid within 15 hours of shipment! The eggs you will receive will be mere days, or even hours away from hatching! Be sure you are ready for them by either having hornworm food arriving with them or having it on hand. Be sure to cook and store the food as directed on the package. In order to attain the best results, keep the eggs under 12 hour light and dark cycles around 80-85° F and around 50% humidity if possible. To raise the hornworms, you can lay a piece of the cooked hornworm food next to the eggs as they begin to hatch and allow the hatchlings to crawl to the food. Be sure they always have enough food, or they may begin to eat each other. If you live in a dry climate, you may want to keep a lid on the container you are raising the hornworms in order to prevent the food from drying out.
